To vacuum, use a device without a beater bar or one whose beater bar can be set to the highest hair level. If your vacuum cleaner has a variable power setting, set it to the lowest level. Vacuum the entire length of the carpet, then twist and repeat to move to the next area, rather than moving back and forth.
