A PLACE IN SCOTLAND

A Place in Scotland is a collection of interior spaces representing a revival of the Scottish vernacular style that has emerged over the last twenty years.

Something is happening in Scotland—a newfound confidence—and inspiring voices are redefining what “Scottish style” really means. Banjo and Alexander are observing this transformation in private homes and public spaces alike. Across Scotland, they’ve selected locations that tell a story, showcase sustainable design, and embody a thoughtful style that’s easy to replicate at home.

Featuring 30 different spaces, from a masterfully restored Scottish castle and the Gleneagles Hotel to a World War II airfield control tower in the Scottish Highlands and a colorful apartment in a Glasgow tenement, A Place in Scotland celebrates clever, contemporary design. All of these beautifully photographed locations will not only inspire your interior design, but also transport you to a journey through Scotland.
